For 2013 income, I had two W2 forms, two federal government annuity forms and one social security form. Half the year I worked full time in one state (collecting salary, one retirement annuity and social security) and the other half I was fully retired in another state (collecting two annuities and social security). Fortunately, my retirement state does not impose state taxes so I just needed Federal and one state from Turbo Tax. Filing was a breeze and I got a nice state and federal refund.
One con: For some reason, my total W2 wages for the state showed correctly on my computer screen in TurboTax but I owed the state a large amount, which looked very wrong to me. I printed the state form out and it incorrectly showed my W2 wages twice the actual amount. I edited the form, deleted the wages amount, clicked on continue, went back to W2 wages and reentered the same correct amount that was there previously. That did the trick. Now TurboTax prints my wages correctly and the state owes me. However, I'm 69 with a somewhat complicated return and I completed my taxes with no help from anyone. Just TurboTax. TurboTax rocks!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved
I had to use my personal vehicle for my job and had mileage deduction. This area led me into some confusing questions as to whether and how much I depreciated the vehicle etc. I was a little confused over this information.

My friends think I am nuts when I exclaim every year that I actually like doing my taxes -- all because of TurboTax. The prompts and questions really help as is the way it guides you thru each step.
I use Turbo Tax every year. It is very thorough and easy to use. Reading the tax booklets is difficult and frustrating when it refers you to more booklets to get for each type of deduction. With Turbo Tax I just go through every section and answer all the questions. It amazes me how many ways to get deductions that I did not know about. I tried a different one years ago, saw the refund was less than I got with Turbo Tax the year before so deleted that one and used Turbo Tax. It did get me a much bigger refund and was easier to understand and use too. I have depended on Turbo Tax every year since then and will in the future. I also like the Audit Protection you offer. I have used it in the past when my return was more complicated and it gave me peace of mind that if I was audited I would have help. Taxes are just too complicated.
