I've been using TurboTax for about ten years now and have had good experiences each time. Fort the relatively simple tax forms I have to file, TurboTax makes filing very easy.
You have to still be aware and look for things that you might have missed. Look at all the forme and possibilities. Look at the last few years. Look at all the boxes (both filled in and not filled in)
This was a great experience. My only suggestion would be to include more definitions for what certain terms mean. Most of them were highlighted and had an explanation, but there were still a few in some of the questions I wasn't certain about.
I will definitely recommend this to all of my friends. It was about as simple as I could imagine tax filing could be!
I have had Turbo Tax and Quicken for quite a while, since I discovered that I kept making simple math mistakes on my returns. Now for Windows users Turbo Tax imports Quicken data. Mac users are left out in the cold. Intuit makes both products, but neglects Mac users. We should have the full array of Intuit products for the Mac. This year.
I just tried to print my Federal return for filing. TT went off into printing or saving my return with detailed backup, rather then printing my Federal return. Grrrr... TT should just do what it says it will do. And I had a heck of a time entering a legal settlement that gave rise to a taxable LT capital gain - took hours to find the input form - the guided process was totally useless.
