State asks questions when data is already been input, which just confuses the issue. If I have to dig out the facts myself, I don't need TurboTax! There is no mention of state estimated taxes or the forms to make the payments.

Using TurboTax is very simple. The "Learn more" links offer easy to understand descriptions and definitions, giving me the confidence that I'm choosing the correct options for my situation. I love the feature that allows me to log in to my investment accounts to have the information retrieved by TurboTax. As the process unfolds, options are presented for such things as tracking income and donations. I'd be happy to receive email reminders to access such services throughout the year. I "rediscover" them each tax season, and wish I had been utilizing them all along.
I like Turbo Tax; I've used both the standard and premium suite for approximately ten years. I like the fact that all of the information from previous years transfers from year to year and past years' information is always accessible. In fact, the previous years return information is shown in the current return for comparison purposes. It is easy to use and reminds me of areas that may need further attention based on previous returns. However, my daughter is a full time student at an out of state school where she earned a small amount of income #from the school# and had to file a state tax return. Her total state refund was $18 but it cost $24.99 to file the state return yielding a net state refund of -$6.99. It would have cost me an additional $35, or about $60 total, to have that amount deducted from her federal refund. I would have been money ahead to put the state return in the mail, but what an inconvenience. I am disappointed.
Excellent product. Have used for multiple years. I have pages and pages of market trades and it imports it from my financial institution with no problems. Only thing I wish is - it decided it was best to file standard deduction not itemized. I wanted an explanation and had to change it like I wanted to file itemized to see where I lacked the deductions. Then had to go back in and change it back to standard, which was correct. I still wanted to know why.
