I Like Roads, the space program, NIH, college loan programs, federal home loans, FIMA national disaster relief funds and all the other little odds and ends that the federal government does. So ending up not getting a refund did hurt but Turbo Tax did the best it could letting us down gently. Thanks Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: easy to use, quick, and fun!
What's not so great: We ended up paying more tax than we expected
it was frustrating to get 2 downloads after I purchased the program. Even after i did the downloads it wouldn't e=file, it kept saying downloads are needed, which I already did. so i had to exit the program, check for downloads again,,, then it finally let me back in to send via efile.... but I'll still use this again next year
What's great about it: easy to download and complete
What's not so great: multiple downloads after program loaded
We had a stock reverse split years ago and in 2013 we were paid for the few shares we had and Turbo Tax refused to access there was no expense on the sales even to the point of blocking the efile until we put something other than 0 in the box. I filed a fault return with 0.01 selling cost just to get it to work. Zero was on the 1099B and I paid nothing, but I'll let Turbo Tax think I had to pay a penny just to make it happy.
What's great about it: Used Turbo Tax for many years and it has always been good and correct; couldn't help it when we missed a 1099.
What's not so great: It will not take a zero as a fact when it is.
