Missing Form

My wife is Canadian and is a legal U.S resident. She holds retirement accounts in Canada and must file form 8833 - Treaty-Based Return Position Disclosure Under Section 6114 or 7701(b) with our joint tax return each year. Turbo Tax does not include this form in their library and they do not provide me a way to upload the completed form into our return. Therefore, I am forced to file via U.S. Mail each year. I recently read on a blog that there are many who share our dilemma. We are all hopeful Turbo Tax will correct this flaw in the near future. Until then, my overall rating of your product will remain less than excellent.
What's great about it: Long time user, found TurboTax Software to be the most comprehnsive.
What's not so great: Form form 8833, cannot E-Filee
Turbo Tax lets you enter data in any order, without having to understand all the inter-related forms that need all the data from one or several forms before you can even start another form. It remembers last year's carry-overs and knows where to apply them. It understands the arcane rules so you don't have to!
What's great about it: Handles those pesky K-1s
What's not so great: Can't always tell where final value came from
I have used TurboTax for over 10 years. I have trusted the TurboTax to know the most current Tax Laws and trust that TurboTax finds all deductions possible.
What's great about it: TurboTax makes things easier and less stressful
I'll like to see more examples on the help and more definitions on terms we're not usually familiar. I like using Turbo Tax, however I'm unsure if I'm getting the most of its benefit or doing things entirely right.
What's great about it: I've used Turbo Tax for 5 yrs now and it's great for filing taxes yourself
What's not so great: Q&A and "free" assistance is confusing and not on line
It wouldn't accept my payment for the state return. The customer service rep at call center really helped me. She spent 30 minutes trying to fix the problem.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Couldn't pay for my state return
TurboTax has been on the market for some time yet it continues to get better each year. A computer novice will have no difficulty following the user-friendly prompts and features of this software. Of particular value is how this product transfers all pertinent information from the prior year to the current year. Also, this product makes it so easy to move back and forth between the various parts of the process. The nice thing about this is that I can work on a particular type of expense or income and if I find that I need to gather more data, I can just stop where I'm at with this part and move on to other parts of the return and come back to this topic when I'm ready. Finally, the electronic filing process is so easy to use I can't understand why anyone would want to send their return by snail mail. Overall, this is the way to go when it comes to completing one's taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to use, reliable and priced right.
