Taxes are Done Whoop Whoop!

Much easier than the experience we had last year with the electronic version of Turbo Tax. We're happy with this year's process and will most likely use it again.
What's great about it: With two children under 5 and a pregnant wife, like the easy flow and ability to stop and save where we wanted.
What's not so great: Some sections were worded funny. Also it was annoying to click through sections that didnt apply to us.
Have used TurboTax for all but 2 of the past 6 or 7 years. The 2 years I used a tax accountant, I still didn't have any confidence that his numbers were as correct as mine using TurboTax . The only reason for not using TurboTax at the time was fear of audits and closing a personal business. This year I worked part of the year and retired in the third quarter. My State Tax Bill was quite large and I was concerned that I was doing something wrong. I was thinking about calling a tax accountant, but decided to call a TurboTax professional for help instead. They spent a lot of time helping me review my tax entries and looking at options. This gave me the confidence to proceed with my personally-prepared return and I saved money too. I paid the additional fee for audit protection knowing that I'll get the same professional assistance if an audit comes along.
What's great about it: Personal control, Understanding taxes better, Great hands-on help if needed.
What's not so great: Tax situation changes are still confusing to work with.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
I have been a Turbotax user for a long time and this was the easiest and most reassuring version I have ever used. Taxes are never fun, but I have more confidence in Turbotax than I do a private accountant who probably uses Turbotax and just fills it in for me. Great product.
What's great about it: Ease of use and comfort of professional knowledge all in one
Great Product and easy to use for most typical situations. Schedule D and Charitable Donations Form (8283) data input can get difficult as help is vague. However Turbo Tax telephone support from a CPA was very helpful.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Better instructions in slightly complicated Tax situations
I find myself frustrated with TurboTax 2013 as I wound up in a situation where I really did need the 'what if' comparison and help to know whether or not my family should be filing married jointly or married filing separately. I expected the somewhat promised 'we'll check that for you and advise you before filing' and instead was left having to create a potential separate set of returns so I could compare. The software should be smart enough to do that comparison for users and it should make the recommendation that is promised. Worse still, when I tried to e-file in MD, I ran into an error where an entry was demanded before I could e-file #see instruction 12, box 5 area, etc.# Others had also encountered problems there and technical support for this error is not at the levels that should be expected as the problem persists and users are basically left to print and file old school or they can try to enter something in the field and see if they can coax the return to go through #but then potentially get questions from the state on those entries...# Finally the continued charges for state e-filing that come after purchasing the product just rub salt in and leave customers feeling that they are sold a package that isn't complete. Switching to a competing product is getting more and more appealing.... :-/
What's great about it: Somewhat easy to use
What's not so great: Doesn't do promised 'what if' comparisons and broken for MD
