Love TurboTax. This was the first year for quarterly estimated payments and I had a little difficulty figuring out how to report them but I did find it.
What's great about it: Understandable and Reliable
What's not so great: None

So much easier than the old days, I would recommend TurboTax over any other method.
What's great about it: Caught several deductions I didn't know existed
What's not so great: none really, very easy to use.

I've used Turbo Tax for several years now. This year it was not as user friendly -- nothing major that I couldn't work through. Mostly in the area of the Schedule C and the State entries.
What's great about it: Excellent
What's not so great: Not as user friendly as last year

One of my last years tax returns did not get saved (?) but I had a PDF file of the return. However, TurboTax would not import data from a PDF. I had to reenter the info manually from the printed PDF file. Frustrating!
Also tried to import investment info. TurboTax said to sign into my account like I usually do. This did not work. On one account I entered the IRS document number to sign in and it worked. On the other accounts I could not figure out how to access the info and had to enter it manually. The TurboTax instructions were not clear.
What's great about it: Most of previous years info imported easily
What's not so great: Some data not imported easily
Pros: I bought or sold investments

A good product...not a great product but a good pr

As I said in my "Pros-Cons" I liked the look, feel and ease of use of the federal portion. The state (Vermont) was not so easy. Some of the forms would not align with the state worksheet. Specifically I am referring to the Homestead Declaration form and the Property tax Adjustment Claim. Although this does not directly affect the tax one has to pay it makes a huge difference in ones property tax. It has to be done right or in my case could cost me over 2K.As a matter of fact last year they kicked back that particular form. It ended up a minor error so I was OK but I am now worried about this year's return. I guess we will see in a month or so.
I was also annoyed at the number of times I was asked to upgrade. It was sort of like getting pecked to death by a duck.
I am basically a happy camper with the product, I will be even happier when the refund reaches my account.
What's great about it: Screens were easy to navigate
What's not so great: The state was clunky

Easy to go through and fill in blanks/answer questoins. Made an error in misc income and could not take it back. Forced to fill in something in order for program to accept it and move forward
What's great about it: Easy to follow as long as everything is standard
What's not so great: Did not handle exceptions well. many mistakes were unforgiving
Pros: I moved

Good but...

I've used TurboTax for years and found it fast and convenient. However, the boxes generated by TurboTax don't match the boxes on my 1099-Rs. Furthermore the "error check" required an entry for a box that is not on either of my 1099-Rs and there was no way to ascertain what that box was supposed to represent - there was no written description, e.g. local tax withheld, local or state distribution, etc.
I'll continue to use TurboTax, but it would sure be nice if once you said you were retired, it generated queries that matched a 1099-R.
What's great about it: TurboTax eliminates math errors
What's not so great: The boxes on my 1099-R don't match TurboTax
