Great refund

I have been a user of Turbo Tax for several years and it has become faster and easier for me submit the necessary tax information to complete my tax return.
What's great about it: Explicit
What's not so great: Had to use Turbo Tax Icon to get back to page to review
This software is very easy to use. It walks you right through all of the items that you need to file your return. You have the option to move around and select what you want to work on or you can let the software take you through one step at a time. The filing is easy and refunds are speedy. I have been using this product for at least 12 years. I wholeheartedly endorse if for taxpayers that want to file their own taxes.
What's great about it: Fast, intuitive, accurate
What's not so great: Does not anticipate some state deductions. i.e. Long term care
I completed my tax return yesterday. Opened to file it today, 3/27/14, had another update. Did that one. Commenced e-file procedure, entered credit card info for Intuit, window had Print File in a box in the middle of the window. Continue box was at bottom of window. Clicked on Print Return. When return was about 98% complete I clicked on Continue box to e-file when TurboTax quit on its own. Tried several times to reopen and got a window that said the file was unreadable every time. Restarted computer, then opened TurboTax and file opened. Had to renter credit card Info again, so, I may have had to pay twice for Intuit e-file to state.
What's great about it: I like easy step procedure
What's not so great: TurboTax unexpectedly quit during e-file process
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
Requires too much retyping of same info used the previous year. Also, saving as a .pdf does not import info, so you must be careful to save it with the Turbo Tax extension.
What's great about it: Well organized into sections
What's not so great: Does not import much info from the previous year's return--just name, address and SSN. Would like to see it import W2s
It was easier than going out to a business and a WHOLE lot cheaper!! I think Turbo Tax asked more questions and gave me more options. It was easy and efficient.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax asks all the questions and I just supply the answers just like when I have gone to the profession preparers
very disappointing this year. I'm not as confident as in years past. I've used TT for at least 5 years probably more and I encountered issues with the program for the first time with TT2013. very unsettling. i'll be using a different method next year. you all should have done a better job.
What's great about it: same as always but...
What's not so great: entry pages did not load smoothly and bounced me out a few times
