easy to use year after year!

I have used this product for many years. I love that I can just pickup from last year and it tracks item that I have entered in my previous years,
Simple interview and lots of simple explanations on some things that are not too clear.

Easy as Pie!!

Its very very easy. It walks you through each step. All you have to do is check the right box, enter your information and your done. If you happen to make a mistake you can go back very easily and fix it. Then just send it electronically. Its just that easy. Done.
What's great about it: Its very easy to read.
What's not so great: No cons.

TurboTax makes filing both federal and state income tax documents a breeze. Even after preparing pencil and paper estimates, TurboTax provides additional items that you may have missed in my paper pre-filing document.
What's great about it: Program is easy to follow; answers to questions are clear and complete.

Step by Step works great! Used Forms view as well when nearing the finish to help confirm my data. So simple.
What's great about it: Love the step by step
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Easier each year. I have to assume accurate. Finally, after several years, they correctly handle Mass in-state bank interest.
What's great about it: Easy to use, fast
What's not so great: More expensive every year. Big increase for state efile.

I love turbo tax! When I was 15 years old and got my first W-2 form, my dad taught me how to do my taxes. I was proud to be able to understand do my own taxes. Many years have gone by since then. My taxes are a lot more complicated than they were back then. But I am still proud of myself for being able to do them on my own. I wouldn't be able to do them with out the help of Turbo Tax. When friends talk about having a "tax guy" do their returns I always suggest Turbo-Tax. If I can do it you can too!

Overall TT is a good product. Very helpful & efficient. I do have a few suggestions that may make it easier & less frightening to use.
1. Stop pushing upgrades. Most people who have purchased a certain version have already made the decision & the upgrade flashes are annoying.
2. Many of us from a more seasoned vintage, could use a little more lay terminology & perhaps better explanations/walk throughs of more intense areas. Although, I think you already do a great job of explaining just about every little thing. Maybe you already have mini tutorials????
3. Your "Help" section could have some help this year. We purchased a 2nd home this year & could find no place to enter that purchase, but there were certainly places to list the sale of a 2nd home. We searched your site & the patron suggestions to no avail. There was simply no reference to purchasing a 2nd home or how to deduct any expenses therein.
4. Being from that more seasoned vintage, I am not at all comfortable having my personal information & number crunching monitored online, as I go through the process of return preparation. I do not like my personal data being placed in any internet site, for any reason. I believe if you were to remove this threat, you would increase the demand for your product.

I don't understand how to use community option to get questions answered and then can't find the answers. Once I have the confidence that I covered everything, the e-filing is like magic. As I get more and more into not the run of the mill tax return entries, I may have to resort to a trusted CPA to "git' er dun."
What's great about it: No hiccups with software
What's not so great: Never know if I am understanding the rules to provide numbers. I had to check this time with a CPA.
