My Tax Source for (at least) 15 Years

Much more difficult to move about in the data entry. Unable to return to last entry without going through the whole process again.
Just not as smoothly programed (user friendly) as in the past.
What's great about it: comprehensive
What's not so great: navigation (back, forward, to a form) not as easy as past years

Frustrated

I have used TurboTax each year since 1996 and I generally like it. But it seems that each year I wish there were a telephone "Help Line" I could call when I have a problem. This year, my refund was enough to more than cover the all of the estimated tax payments which the program computed for me. I would have merely applied the refund to the next years taxes but the program never asked me if I wanted to do that. I went over the process several times hoping I would find the point where I could choose that option (as I have in past years) but never found it. So I will get the refund and pay quarterly estimates - what a pain!
What's great about it: Consistrent from yr to yr, generally
What's not so great: Hard to find answers or features

Turbo Tops

Have been using this program for many years, continues to be a relief to a stressful government (IRS) requirement that grows every year. T.T. has continued to make it easier and involves less time each year (one day filing/done). E. Filing is great for me. I always rec. to friends.
What's great about it: Simple to use on standard returns.
What's not so great: A lot of paper used for print copy.

I use TurboTax year after year

Very user friendly. Being able to transfer last years info and import W-2's is a big time saver. Also showing last years entries is a great check so you don't miss anything. It is also a good check to see if there are any big unexplained changes.

I have been using TurboTax for years, and it seems to get better each year. I am getting older, and anything to make taxes easier gets my vote.

Help within TT program is not easy to search. Online help often gives too many extraneous links.
The interview format is tedious.

What's not so great: Searching for help is often a challenge, poor menus and links

Amazingly Easy and Helpful

I am always amazed at the ease of use and how intuitive the software is. I can ask questions and get answers so that I can continue to move quickly through the process. I can complete my returns within a couple of hours and feel confident they are accurate and ask questions to ensure that I am getting the most deductions possible. I recommend Turbo Tax to anyone who has not yet tried it.
What's great about it: asked a question and received immediate information
What's not so great: confusion on one section related to pensions for state return

Federal tax due is in red numerals in a black background box and it is unreadable. Please make this box white background with red numerals for money owed and green numerals for refunds due.
What's great about it: Importing financial data
What's not so great: red balance owed in the black box on top of page is imposible to read. Please make it red in white box for owing taxes.
