This year my retirement annuity was labeled 7D in box 7 at the IRS direction. This caused my Michigan tax for to designate all my pension income as taxable. Michigan has a $93000 threshold for taxing retirees. What happened ?
It would be nice if the file would save ALL answers to questions. Rather frustrating to have to re-answer or re-enter something every time you walk through your return to review or enter something you missed the first time through.
What's great about it: Overall, i like your product
What's not so great: I wish the questions would stay answered!
Great product, wouldn't change a thing. Been using for years. State of Maryland has "iFile", which is convenient (and free), but not as user friendly as TT. My only con is I think the TT price points are a little high.
It was really easy to use and I had no problem using it. Walked me through every single deduction and showed me how it reflected my refund. I recommend it to anyone that doesnt trust going to a hole in the wall locations or over pay to the major companies.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Explaining every detail
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
Overall it is a great program. I have been using it since 1994 when it was on 3 1/2 disks. I believe that it beats all the other programs on the market
What's great about it: The program was easy to use and helpful
