A non-taxing afternoon!

I bought the Deluxe version and it was just right for my purposes; I have nothing complicated but I found 98% of the answers to all my "what-if" questions. I have to say that it was a pleasant afternoon doing my yearly responsibility. The only downside I experienced was getting answers to questions quickly online - the search engine is a bit hard to use. But the bottom line is that Turbo Tax is still the easiest to use for me.
What's great about it: Ease of use and eliminates frustration
What's not so great: The prior versions had more tax detail and explanations

TurboTax Federal & State Returns plus Fed E-file

I recommend Turbo Tax as an on-going tax program. It was easy to follow, showed me ways to save money and relatively easy to complete. I feel confident checking my returns for errors and probabilities of getting an audit.
What's great about it: Easy to continue form 2012's return.
What's not so great: Some of the areas are confusing to the average person but are probably clearer on more comprehensive editions.

Very easy to do, answers most questions and will allow you to go back and change info.
What's great about it: walked us through everything
What's not so great: State e-filing is too pricey

WHY PAY A TAX PREPARER?

I used to do my taxes by hand, but, with TurboTax, I am more confident that I am not missing some deduction, or miscalculating something. Ihave used TurboTax for several years and am very happy with the results.
What's great about it: Fast, straight forward, simple, comprehensive, accurate, and safe!
What's not so great: None

On Iowa state return, turbo tax credited me what my spouse witheld in federal taxes on ssa-1099 social security. I had to manually move those taxes she withheld to her column.
What's great about it: each year getting better

OH state tax form issue

In the Joint Filing Credit there is a very ambiguous question about allocating a number between two people that I did not understand. In addition given where this number came from, federal medicare expenses, it should haver known this number without needing me to enter it. I had to get out the instructions to figure out where the number came from. Using the instructions and the first print out of the tax form I was able to go back and correct the number
What's great about it: fast to get through
What's not so great: Question in joint filing credit for OH tax has a problem.

Efficient and Easy Refund!

Efficient and Easy Refund! I think Turbo Tax saved me time and got me the biggest refund possible. It would be nice to do my kid's taxes on the same software instance now that they are growing up and will have to start doing their own.
What's great about it: categories and step-by-step question process
What's not so great: Very few. Maybe the end steps were a little involved when making any final editing.
