Had to call in to get forms. Instructions should tell you to load CD and then eject it after it has been loaded.
What's great about it: Very easy to use.
What's not so great: When trying to file, didn't tell me I needed to do updates to get my forms.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Taxes made easy

I like everything about turbo tax it really makes it easy. I like the as you go amount of refund or payment. I think you all have a way of calling you which is what I didn't like in the past.
What's great about it: Ease of process
What's not so great: Would like somehow to review forms during process

I was very aprehensive about having to allow some one else to see my screen as I as flling my fed,/state taxes. I was not being able to file and had to call Intuit for help. The lady who took me step by step to the end was very nice and put me at ease. Her name she said was Brenda of Michigan. With her help I was able to e file my taxes; though this is not the first time I've used Turbo Tax, after 10 years of doing it, this time I was having problems.
Thanks Intuit for having such wonderful customer service.

Peaceful Mind

I have used TurboTax for more than 20 years. The package has been improved quite a bit. I have witnessed its improvement and easy of use. However, I would like it has the power to search for turbotax files from previous years to keep records in an orderly fashion.
What's great about it: Automation, Checking and Correction, Updating
What's not so great: Records Keeping, Updating from Previous Years

Easy Way To File Taxes

If you want to file your taxes without the nagging doubt that you missed something, and that the return is complete and accurate, then Turbo Tax is what your looking for.
What's great about it: Step by step directions with help that is defiinitive and clear.
What's not so great: None
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Easy to use for maximum results

1. See con above for MD state filing. 2. A useful addition: only enter zip codes and the system would enter the city state automatically

What's not so great: 1. include - Military Retirement. You can deduct up to $5,000 of military retirement income if you were a member of US

I have used TurboTax in the past. In 2011 and 2012 I used an accountant, because of our corporation. This year, the accountant finalized the corporate returns, but I prepared our own 1040. I was happy to see how easy it still was since the last time I used the program in 2010. It came up with deductions I had not considered.
What's great about it: Easy to Follow Step by Step
What's not so great: It was sometimes difficult to locate specific screens to update, make corrections.

Some problems this year

Make sure that you update your software before efiling return. In other years, there has been a prompt. Not this year. After I hit the transmitting button, the program said I had to download updates before transmitting.
Also, after transmitting again, the program came back and found blank boxes that had been filled out previously in the state return.
Also, the return came back yet another time because the program wanted my 2012 pins. It never asked for them previously; the program said pick a pin.
I am not as happy as in past years.
