Personal accountant in the privacy of my own home!

I paid an accountant last year to do some difficult work relating to estate concerns, but didn't need to spend that kind of money this year. Looking forward to my refund. Also, Turbo Tax Deluxe included a handy reminder that I could contribute to my IRA until April 14, 2014. And I did. And it increased my refund. My refund will offset this additional IRA contribution.
What's great about it: Thorough, easy to use, inexpensive
What's not so great: Some difficulty going back to previous sections for revision

Mostly easy to do,

In the past, when I donated clothing and household goods, a page came up that calculated the amount I should get back on these items. This time, I had to approximate. Can you put this back on the system? It took a lot longer to calculate since I had many items I donated.
What's great about it: Mostly easy to follow
What's not so great: Doesn't show amounts for itemizing deductions anymore

Generally it is a great for its ease in doing a tax return. I prefer last years way of doing the estimated taxes. Better control of amount to pay and printing of vouchers (efpts eliminates need for vouchers)
Entry of data for sale of second home is roundabout - not good.
What's great about it: Easy to use

Good and honest accounting

I have used turbo tax for at least 10 years now and have had no problems with it or the IRS. If you put in honest information you get honest accounting. The program leads you through the agony of filing taxes as easily as you can do it. they also tell you the likelihood of an audit.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: didn't make me rich

Explain this was very helpful since there where something on our taxes this year that we haven't previously had experience. It also helped refresh us on topics that we weren't quite sure about since things changed over the past year.
What's great about it: Helped to figure out each topic when you aren't sure what you may or may not need to enter

I went to a national tax preparer the last two years (name rhymes with JR Clock), and though they did a decent job, they charged a lot more (and would have this year) for what I got with Turbo Tax Deluxe. I expected to pay the IRS this year, based on two different estimates from online sites and my own calculations, but Turbo Tax was thorough enough and got me a nice little refund. Sure, you could do your taxes for free yourself, but if you don't have the time, this is a good deal.
What's great about it: Made it easy and got a decent refund

Great Experience with Turbo - As Always!

As always, this year with TurboTax was a good experience. I did not have too much trouble except finding answers to some questions-just took more time to find out information that I would have liked for it to. But all-in-all I had a good result working on our taxes using TurboTax and I would never use another company.
What's great about it: TurboTax is very informative!
What's not so great: Has some trouble finding answers.
