My Turbo Tax Review

This makes my tax filing a simple and easy process. Helps me avoid the other services,
I redid my daughter's return before she filed, and was able to get her more money back than the other services offered.
Her boyfriend wants me to help him file an amended return.
What's great about it: Easy to understand
What's not so great: nothing

Some Good, Some So-so!

I like to understand the process while doing my return. TurboTax leads one "by the nose" through the process with virtually no explanation. I would like to understand each step as I go along rather than doing mindless data entry. For example, I would like to see tabs or a drop down menu containing the major schedules (A, B, D, etc.) so that, with one stroke, i could toggle between the detail I am entering and the higher level information offered by the schedules. That would help not only my understanding but also help avoid major errors.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to use. Nice summaries & comparisons.
What's not so great: Hard to see "big picture" while doing a return.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The program takes you step by step with cues and positive reinforcement. I recommend it each year to my Senior High students for their tax needs. No one should be afraid to do thier taxes

Quick and Easy

I've used Turbo Tax for several years now and knew what to expect. Even though there are some changes each year it is easy to pickup on the differences and things move smoothly along. The program helped me to decide to file either itemizing or taking the standard deductions and the work sheets showed me the reason for their recommendation. One of the best time savers is the ability to transfer last years information to this year and to download information from my financial institutions. The final package was very complete and e-filing was quick. I've a very satisfied customer again this year.
What's great about it: Told me what documents to have to start and it moved quickly through the questions to get the appropiate entries.
What's not so great: No problems that I can think of.

10 Years with TurboTax

I have enjoyed seeing Turbo-Tax evolve over my 10 year association. It seems to be easier every year. With my record keeping and Turbo-Tax's expert guidance, I feel I have paid my fair share as well as taking advantage of my fair share. I have never been audited using the Turbo-Tax software. I don't worry about arithmetical errors, since Turbo-Tax has never let me down. Thank you to your expert staff! Kind Regards, silver_fox
