Eases the cringe factor of doing taxes

Short of hiring a CPA, this is as simple as tax prep can be made for a tax lay person. Less stress, fewer headaches. Searches for all possible deductions. Enables saving return to computer and the option to print out - all nice and neat.
What's great about it: Easy to understand and work through. Pop up boxes with explanations. No flipping around a tax booklet for answers.
What's not so great: None that couldn't be helped by eliminating the complicated US tax code.

TTAX 2013 OOPS

I HAD TO GET TO PRINTING NC STATE TAX TO SEE UNDERESTIMATING PENALTY TO BEGIN TO FIGURE OUT DATE ERROR - TTAX SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT THIS SINCE IT'S A DATE IN THE FUTURE!!!
What's great about it: RECOMPUTES EASILY WHEN ERRORS ARE CORRECTED
What's not so great: MISSED MY DATE OF 12/15/2014 [SHOULD BE 2013] ON NC EST. TAX

26th year using TurboTax

After 26 years of using TurboTax, I wouldn't consider doing my tax return any other way. I especially like the ability to switch quickly between EasyStep and Forms.
What's great about it: Transfers data from last year; no re-typing
What's not so great: Needed better explaination of SEP calculation

My 2013 Fed Return

I wanted to see how Sch D Line 13 was calculated. Clicking the value and magnifying glass goes back to the data entries. However the info in the data entries does not add up to the same value as Sch D Line 13. After exhaustive search I discovered that the data entries display was incomplete leading to perceived mismatch of values. However doing my own math I found that the final result for 1040 was correct.
I believe this is a program error and you should correct it.

I have used TurboTax for several years. It seems to get faster each year. Well worth the cost.

Best way to do your taxes

I've been using Turbo tax for over ten years and have found it to be the most comprehensive and easy to use tax preparation program available.
Since I work it myself I can take my time researching and finding deductions I would have missed otherwise.

Great Job!

I have used TurboTax for several years until last year I had to purchase another software because TurboTax was not available in my store. I prefer TurboTax over the other one because it is user friendly. I missed being able to import information from last year's return. I will always choose Turbotax first.
What's great about it: I like using Turbotax. Saves me lots of time.

It would be nice to see what the fees for State E File and Turbo Tax Processing are going to be at the beginning of the process, as well as, at the end when you have to pay the fees.
What's great about it: Excellent step by step
What's not so great: Time Consuming,
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
