Easy enough to use, but I had trouble seeing where my addition of sale tax on a new vehicle actually helped with my refund. It would help if they had a way to talk with them online as you worked with their software. Maybe it's there and I just didn't see it.
What's great about it: Easy enough to use for most people.
What's not so great: Would appreciate online help for some basic software related questions.

Consistent and detailed

Turbo tax is a great self preparing program. From the person who has never done their own taxes to the professional who has done it themselves for years. It allows you to be guided through step by step or skip ahead and do it yourself. The best thing is with current and up to date tax laws it prevents you from overlooking anything or making any critical mistakes. Plus you can do it from home. So if you forgot that one receipt or have to go grab a document you can. When you sit it an office and forget something you either have to reschedule or skip it. I have used turbo tax for years and will continue to do so.
What's great about it: Turbo tax is extremely easy to use and detailed.
What's not so great: Purchasing and downloading online was slow and had to purchase actual disc in store
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've used Turbo tax since the early days and it is great to see it evolve. We're retired and the ability for TurboTax to interface directly with our brokerage company to download all of the required transaction information is truely a great feature. What would have taken me many, many hours is now done in a matter of minutes. Kudos for a great product!
What's great about it: ability to include brokerage information automatically
What's not so great: None that I can think of
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax Rocks !!!

I can't believe I've been spending hundreds of dollars each year for a well known tax service to handle my return. That's the end! From now on, I'm using Turbo Tax to file my returns.
What's great about it: So easy and fast
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Well worth the money.
What's great about it: Saves time because you don't have to look things up or do calculations yourself. Accurate.
What's not so great: Can take some work figuring out answers to questions.

I have used Turbo Tax for the last several years. Saves $$$. Tax experience is not needed.
What's great about it: Easy to do if you are not a first time user
What's not so great: More information to enter if you have switched computors from a prior year.
