Easy to follow procedures

It is great except for the fact that it does not include all of the forms that I need to file for my Ill return. For example I need to file a 1299-C to get a subtraction for High Impact Business Dividend Subtraction. This amounts to a large amount on my return. Please include all forms in the state return.
What's great about it: simpl;e to do
What's not so great: The Illinois does not include all of the extra forms that I need.

Turbo Tax is very easy to install and enter all tax information for ferderal return and New York state return.
What's great about it: very easy to input information

This year the filing was a bit more challenging, but in all in all it was a pleasent experience.
What's great about it: easier to accomplish
What's not so great: none aware of
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Been using MacInTax since its in inception and Turbo Tax has evolved to the superior product that it is today. In addition, the support staff are friendly and very helpful.
What's great about it: Staightforward, thorough and FAST!
What's not so great: What? It's taxes!

In past years the Turbo Tax program interacted with past returns and filled in the normally unchanging information. But not this year. It seemed to have no idea of past information in the computer and I had to enter every line again. In some ways it was easier, the different sections income, deductions etc seemed to flow better so could be it was a wash but wasn't expecting the redundant information to have to be reentered, kinda through me off.
What's great about it: It seemed like it was a little easier to go through the process, in some ways.
What's not so great: To much entering information that does not normally change

1st Time User

As a first time user I found TurboTax fairly easy to use and really got detailed in finding deductions. Unfortunately the desktop version I got needed "updates" but didn't say how to get them. It should have been part of the stat up process rather than having to search through the previously asked questions. In Florida we do not have personal income tax so filing is not necessary. Turbo Tax knows that but still wants to file a return - you have to keep saying "no thanks".
What's great about it: Very Detailed
What's not so great: Desktop version needed updates

Long for Better Printing Methods

Needs better printing options. Ex: Printing electronic filing info, printing individual return pages can all be improved and simplified.
Needs simpler viewing options, so you can zip to a page or line faster.
What's great about it: Great overall tax computation program; nice efile options
What's not so great: limited printing and viewing options
