2013 Tax Eperience

The program was easy to use but the price was terrible.
What's great about it: TurbboTax made the completion of my return very easy.
What's not so great: Your prices for the state tax form and efile is terrible!!!!

Great Tax Filing Software

As a satisfied Turbo Tax user since 1997, this year's Deluxe Turbo Tax Federal and State program seemed to be easier than ever to navigate. I needed to go back a few times to check and re-enter information from a missing 1099 and it was quick and easy to do. It seemed like there was minimal advertisements this year. The software worked seamlessly with my past year's filings and pulled up my necessary history to plug in what was necessary for this filing. Had I been doing my taxes by hand, I might have accidentally overlooked my missing 1099 that was lost in the mail but Turbo Tax brought it to my attention. Taxes are never on my list of things I want to do, but for my Federal and State filing needs, Turbo Tax Deluxe is a great program and makes the task easy.
What's great about it: Better than ever
What's not so great: Takes a while to install but it's worth it.

I've been using TT for over a decade. I continue to be happily satisfied. I really like that it pulls information from last year's file, so that I don't have to search for anything.

Hard to use

A hard program to use if you do not go from beginning to end with no jumping around. Hard to go into the step-by-step at intermediate points, especially when you at the filing stage.
Could not find how to apply refund to estimated tax for next year on the NY state form. Very frustrating!
Hard to find where your information is going in the tax forms. Ex. was the medical health premiums entered while doing form C, but showed up in schedule 1040.

What's great about it: Gets arthmetic right
What's not so great: Very hard to go to forms and directly back to where you were doing step-by-step

I will probably always use TurboTax for my tax returns.

Refund made easy

Overall this product helped me complete my taxes in no time. But (and I'm getting picky here) the program kept an open space for my "New Hampshire return" There is no income tax here in NH and all of my income was from MA so I feel like it should not have given me the option to load the NH program.
Any time I didn't understand something or was wondering if a something applied to me there was a link with a description box, VERY HELPFUL.

Under the donation link the ability to have Turbo Tax help me figure out the value of my donated items was invaluable!
The only think I did not like was that several times throughout there was a link to buy more stuff and it is easy to accidentally click on that link only to have to back track.
What's great about it: Easy to use walked me through every step.
What's not so great: Felt like there was a sales pitch around every turn
