again your representative was very informative and patient with me. she would not get off the phone until my problem was solved. my check update problem was resolved after hitting TURBO TAX MENU and quiting turbo tax. then i was able to transmit my taxes.
What's great about it: your representative very helpful
I had some real concerns with this years Tax preparation. The personal support from a Tax Expert was esential in answering some of my questions. Once I was connected with the Tax Expert, She not only answered the questions I had but also guided me through a better understanding of the Turbotax program. I owed Fed Tax and had a State refund coming. At the filing stage of the process I opted for the withdrawl from my bank account. I was somewhat confused and frustrated when the program then gave me the option to pay with the a credit card or deduct from refund. I thought the bank account option had alraedy taken care of things. Some kind of note prior to this point might clarify this.
What's great about it: Assistance from a Tax Expert
What's not so great: I was a bit confused about payment options at filing
I've probably used this software about as long as anyone and still like it. Thanks for making paying your taxes easy. I know Quick Books is available, but it's way more than us old folks need. Why don't you make up an Excel like software program that we can enter whatever income and expenses information every month, and then in April the next year it transfers to the return automatically.
TurboTax has improved each year and hopefully will continue to do so. This software makes my job a lot easier when it come to filling taxes.
One short note: a couple of years ago I had a limited partnership close. When I entered the data it didn't seem to affect my return. Since I knew it should of, I investigated and found that I had to go into the return data and reduce the ownership to 0% manually. I would have thought clicking the final box would have done that. I didn't have a closure this year so I don't know if you have corrected this minor problem or not. You spoiled it when saying that my nickname needed to be at least 4 letters and then said it was taken - try again. What is this all about???????????????????????
What's great about it: I like the step by step instructions and handling of K1's.
What's not so great: Cant think of anything right now.
My 1099-R supplied by my financial institution has an error in state distribution box 12. It was blank. This should have been caught with a review but wasn't. When I tried to state e-file, it was rejected. This was after I went through the process of paying for the state e-file. I was informed that I had to mail in my state return. I hope i won't be charged for e-filing. I'm concerned that this might happen..
What's great about it: Good if you don't have problems
What's not so great: 1099-R has error that wasn't caught in review but when trying to e-file state, it was rejected.
