Complex task made easy

Once again TurboTax hits a home run!. This software reflects the true genius of the software engineers who had to think of every tiny detail so as to be able to do a comprehensive and accurate job of completing one's income taxes. For those uncertain about which forms and processes to pursue, the straightforward interview process allows no detail to escape scrutiny. The handy help files either answer your question or point you to a place to find the answer. If necessary, you can avail yourself of the FREE telephone support that is absolutely terrific. Will I purchase Turbo Tax next year? ABSOLUTELY!!
What's great about it: Interview style was thorough
What's not so great: For some, it could prove tedious.

Very comprehensive & painless preparation. Like the ease of being able to compare my itemized deductions with the standard deduction. Energy tax credit was a breeze.

I have been a Turbo Tax user since it was first made available. Excellent program for your first tax return and for the experienced user, too.
What's great about it: Inspiries confidence, great support documentation
What's not so great: none I can think of

Turbo Tax Was Adequate This Year.

Overall I didn't like this years' version as much as previous years. It wasn't as intuitive as previous years. And I don't like that they removed the header that shows the risk of audit - it only shows that at the end. If that I had been there through the entire session, I would have had a better idea if I was doing the sections that Turbo Tax did not explain well, correctly or not.
I've been using Turbo Tax for about five years now. I'm not sure I will next year.

What's great about it: The step by step walk through is always good.
What's not so great: Sections with early withdrawals from retirement accounts left a lot to be desired in term of helping me to understand it
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Excellent As Always

I've been using TT for a long time. I like its ease of use and the fact that data can be maintained from year to year is a real plus. TT also make electronic filing a breeze.
What's great about it: maintaining last year's data is a real time-saver
What's not so great: nothing...really!

NOT HAPPY WITH STATE RETURN

I COULD NOT FILE MY STATE RETURN BECAUSE THE ESTIMATED SCHOOL TAX FOR 2014 FORM WAS NOT READY. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY AN ESTIMATE FORM WOULD STOP MY FILING FOR 2013.
What's great about it: BEEN USING TURBO FOR MANY YEARS
What's not so great: MY STATE TAX COULD NOT BE FILED

Dissapointed

After numerous years of use I am very disappointed with this years program. It required me to sign in as supervisor to get updates & then did not restart automatically. The rollover for existing clients were extremely slow ( 2 minutes too locate file to transfer). The print function defaults to printers which are not installed on my system. All my printers are listed at the end.
I don't know what happened this year but I may not be back next year.
