Will never use anything else

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years and will never use anything else. They make it so easy to upload all my information and every year it starts right where I left off without skipped a beat!
What's great about it: Quick, Easy, Accurate
What's not so great: Nothing

Inappropriate questions

I thought some of the questions could have been eliminated owing to my age (91) and previous filings. Surely you couldn't have thought that I served in the armed forces or received unemployment compensation or had to pay it back for 2012. Also, I reported last year that my spouse died before 2012 and you shouldn't have needed to ask that question since my filing status hadn't changed from the previous year. There are numerous other examples but I tired of noting them. If you are pulling information from previous years you should make the best use of it..

In some of the more complex questions abbreviations were used for terms. This was not appreciated as I had to figure out what that information stood for. It would be appreciated if abbreviations were never used when asking the taxpayer questions.
What's great about it: Walks you through everything
What's not so great: some abbreviations used should be written out

If You Can Read . . .

I've used Turbo Tax for years. This year was my most complex filing. But, if you can read English, and have basic reasoning ability, you can use this program. My take is that you'll have fewer mistakes (if any) using Turbo Tax than a commercial tax service.
What's great about it: If you can read English and have basic reasoning ability, you can use theis program.

Turbotax is awesome

Turbotax is a great product. I have used it for over 20 years to prepare my own and friends' taxes. It is user friendly, always updated, has a ton of options and fast. Never had any problems using e-file or printed copies. Way to go putting a great product on the market!
What's great about it: easy to use, quick , many options,
What's not so great: might be items people don't understand
