Way Expensive State Filing Cost

Turbo Tax is a great tool for completing your taxes year after year. The auto-fill features make transferring data from one year to the next seamless.
I wish Turbo Tax 2013 included a 2014 expense collection feature so all that data could easily be transferred to the 2014 tax forms.
What's great about it: Simple, foolproof and quick
What's not so great: nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Even my grandkids like turbo tax

Turbo Tax is the most efficient tax software system I have ever used. Any individual or business owner should use Turbo Tax regardless of what state you live in. Turbo Tax actually makes doing your taxes easy and enjoyable to do and you do not even have to call the IRS.
What's great about it: Easy step by step process any baby boomer can use

Complete and file tax return in 1 day

TTax makes it easy now with importing the W2s if your employer uses ADP for payroll. Also easy to import data from brokerage firms for 1099DIV and 1099B.
TTax have easy step by step instructions prompting information for Schedule A deductions.
If you have all your information lined up (mailed 1099Int, 1099B, 1099G, etc., you can complete your tax return in 1 day!
The only Con I saw is that every year I have to manually open up prior year's TTax software to determine if last year's state refund is subjected to AMT. Why can't the current year TTax software do that if it imported the data from last year's return to begin this year's return?
What's great about it: Easy step by step guidance in filling out the different sections of a tax return
What's not so great: Still have to manually figure out State tax refunds is subject to AMT

Dependable & Understandable

Can do my taxes at my speed on my own time. Can stop & come back right where I left off. Walk thru ease & can get an explanation on new items or thing I do not understand. I can purchase Turbo Tax anywhere or just download it. A truly terrific product.

Breathing Easier

I have been using TurboTax for years for both my personal income and my business income. Since retiring I have expanded my own business and TurboTax is right there with me.
What's great about it: Fast, easy to understand, & comprehensive
What's not so great: Can't collect the paperwork for me
