As above. Had to use the override for the Michigan return and the Federal return. Also have trouble purging the old K-1 partnerships from the system. Maybe something I'm doing wrong.
What's great about it: Been using for years....I have always been impressed
What's not so great: Completely blew the Retirement Income exclusion for Michiganfiling. Pluse buried the form 4884 as a click-on to another
Print functions are not intuitive and do not follow standard Windows protocol. IE. There is no print function to allow printing of EFile acknowledgement.
Been using Turbo Tax for years....keep getting it to complicated and I will switch to HR Block. I did my sisters return on her HR Block software and it was much easier.
What's not so great: Print Functions are not intutive
Using the software takes away laborious effort and most of the stress when preparing your taxes. It also reminds you which forms you need available on hand when you're on a particular topic.
And pre-populating items related to the prior year's return is simply a great time-saver.
What's great about it: Has comprehensive examples to illustrate topic. Automatically imports pertinent figures from previuos year's return.
What's not so great: Could use more examples for other related concepts in the same topic
