Refund

Make the option of applying a portion of the refund to future tax returns as soon as the final refund calculation is done.
What's great about it: Easy to follow.
What's not so great: Could not find the option to apply a portion of the 2013 refund to 2014 without a lot of searching.

Saved my Sanity

My computer crashed and I had to start from scratch. Turbo tax walked me through the process to ensure that I found each deduction that I was entitled to. This year I could really use any extra savings because my mom is in nursing home, children in college and brother unemployed: so all the burden is on me. Thanks to Turbo Tax, I got the maximum amount of money back.

Get's the job done

I've used Turbo Tax for 3 years now. My mom got me started on it and I've stayed with it since I was used to it. After looking around I saw there are cheaper products out there so I may give those a try next year. Otherwise I have been happy with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: transfers last year's info
What's not so great: may be a little more pricey than comparable products

Easy To Complete

We have used Turbo Tax for several years and have no complaints. It offers step by step instruction and help (if needed). You are prompted at start up if updates are available, which gives you the peace of mind that your program is always current.

Deluxe - Good for Basic Filing

SEP IRA selection - not readily available.
Capital gain calculation - not easy to navigate.
Cannot import some fund company data
Deductible info - pain to list !
