Fewer bugs than prior years but always your best bet is to wait until near April to file once other users have complained about errors and "updates" have been made to the software. ---------------------- Edits of existing entries for charitable deductions default to charity name vs. amount so have to tab forward or you'll overwrite existing name information.
Automobile tax deduction on Fed expects net amount but has only info link which is pointing to web. Probe info link and then determine tax portion by going on search for info to calculate correct net deductable amount yourself
Yet Automobile tax deduction on State asks for full amount paid (noting is doesn't mach Fed entry), but only in audit comes back and indicates it needs vehicle weight to then calculate net deductable itself
What's great about it: pulled W2 from employer and other info from prior years return
Suggestion: You offer printing before and after filing. It would be nice to add to the first "do you want to print" page a note that you will be able to print the full document after it is final and filed.
I've used Turbo tax for the last 6 years and love it It's easy and quick. All I need it back up and information. I love the easy fiing and asking me questions. Keep up the great work and I will be using it in the future.
Need to come up with maybe some recommendations that can improve my tax situation.
What's great about it: Easy and no issues while updating.
What's not so great: Lots of new downloads. Charged my credit card before sending taxes.
I'm happy with TurboTax although I don't feel it asks the right questions for those of us that enter and win sweepstakes because there are 2 ways to enter sweepstakes depending on if it is considered a hobby or not. Would also like to option to view what I am printing and to NOT print the worksheets and forms that are NOT files with the IRS.
What's great about it: the interview is very thorough
What's not so great: Would like option not to print the forms/worksheets that aren't files with IRS
