What's great about it: Geta easier to complete each year.
What's not so great: Just prior to filing, told I had to complete updates. Was directed to go to online menu, but no directions given for

Good job

I have been using Turbo Tax for 10 years, and it has kept up with all the changes in the taxes as well as my needs from a small business to retirement to moving. Seems like each year we have some new quirky issue with our taxes and each year Turbo Tax has the answers. I feel confident using Turbo Tax to file our returns.
What's great about it: Always up to date
What's not so great: Q&A answers don't always answer the question

Got My Solar Energy Credit

I have used Turbo Tax for five years and never had a problem with the IRS. A calculations are done right and extremely fast. I really like the easy going feel of using this program; reading the text is like some one is talking to you, leading you and asking questions to help you get your return done right
I think Turbo Tax is a great product for your money and I will continue to use it.

What's great about it: Clear and easy to follow instructions. Got all my deductions and credits figured right and received an awsome refund.

A Painful Experience Made Less Painful

Thought the overall process of electronic preparation and filing made it much easier. The electronic federal filing went quick. Got a text message about a half hour after filing that it was accepted.
What's great about it: Step by step process made it much easier and less painful
What's not so great: Owing money to the state

Prefered Tax Software

Have used TurboTax since it first came out, then one year I bought H&R because it was ten bucks cheaper. It was a royal pain. TurboTax is not as easy as it was in the beginning. Take the state, it just does it and tells you the bottom line and says you are done. Well,, maybe I want the renters credit. Then I have to push all kinds of buttons to get it to open. Still for the price, it beats paying a tax man who might screw things up.

What's not so great: Not as easy to use was when it first came out

I am used to the program after using for at least 7-8 years so I do find it very helpful. As a tax professional, I still have to figure out what the answer will do within the program because the effect is not always intuitive.
What's great about it: transfers from prior years
What's not so great: repititiion of same questions whenever a revision is made

Great Tax Software

I have used Turbo Tax for several years, it is quick and easy for everyone to use. I always panic and think I am forgetting something but with the auto check feature I rest assured
What's great about it: Ask you all of the questions, pulls from last years return
What's not so great: Takes a while to go through the whole return
