I use this program each year and each year it seems to be a little more refined and easy to navigate. All the work I really have to do is to have my papers on hand.
What's great about it: The federal and state meters at the top of the page let you know exactly where you stand as you progress through.
What's not so great: I still have to scroll down each page to click on the continue button.
Either I don't know how to use the program or there are problems inherent in the programming. I could not get from one place to another very easily. I had to go back to the beginning of a section to get to some where in the middle, and in some cases I had to reenter the data, it having been wiped out somehow. Also, many pages I was on, I had to scroll down to get to the continue button. Can't you get that button on the page without having to scroll down to see it? I found this very aggravating. Still, I got the job done. Thanks.
What's great about it: Certainly gets all of the items that I needed as I went through the process
What's not so great: Hard to get from one place to another. Too much short scrolling on individual pages
It took me less than 3 hours to do my taxes and no high fees from a tax preparer. No appointments and waiting in an office. The only way to go is Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: A cheap way to get your taxes done quickly. easy to use
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
Everything went very well. The only con was that I didn't understand the layout for entering deductions and clicked the back tab to go to the next deduction. I could not see the continue button on my screen at the bottom. Then I scrolled more.
What's great about it: Made gathering information managable
What's not so great: Some process of filling in of deductions confusing at first
