Satisfaction Guaranteed For All

Turbo tax does not insult the knowledgeable tax preparer by allowing you to navigate on your own but still double checking to be sure nothing is missed. The questions in beginning help the preparer to remember events that happened during the year that have an affect on tax. Also, the guaranteed calculations turn the preparer into an analyst instead of a clerical calculator that can be error prone. Different than most things in life, Turbo Tax provides perfect solutions in a world filled with imperfections, and even guarantees the work. It's a perfect marriage!

What's great about it: Educated navigation or complete guidance- Good for All
What's not so great: No downside- even tax professionals would agree

TurboTax for expats

I'm a US citizen living and working overseas. I've been using turboTax for the last 5 years for my US Income Tax return. It does a very good job, however it doesn't explain some options very well where it comes to residency, foreign taxes etc... but generally, it covers the basics. I've been using the deluxe version, but am still not sure if I need this version, or a less expensive version. That would be something Intuit could do to improve our experience.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: It's not designed with Expats in mind.

Almost Done

I use Turbo Tax every year and without fail it delivers. The only problem I have with Turbo Tax is I spend a lot of money on it, which I'm fine with, for the product and ease of use it's worth it. But then after all is done I'm asked to pay for a state efile too. I think we should get a state efile with the purchase of Turbo Tax. It's bad enough I live in PA and have to pay taxes to this worthless state. Just me being picky I guess.

Couldn't e-file

I've used TurboTax for years and like it. But this year, I was unable to e-file my federal return. Was able to e-file the state return (MD).
Following instructions, I downloaded program updates (twice) but was still unable to e-file.
This was very inconvenient because I then had to print the return, attach forms W-2 and 1099, write a check, take to the post office to weigh and mail.
I'll still use TurboTax next year because of the automatic populating of the new returns from the prior year's return, but I'm not a happy user. I certainly hope this problem gets fixed.

Easy and economical

I'm not skilled at accounting. By just keeping a few straight-forward record files during the year, I can count of T-tax to allow me to file in a way that meets my skills and schedule, and to count upon having an accurate return. I have used your product for several years now and am a dedicated customer.
What's great about it: Straight-foward, easy to navigate, easy to keep current, saved hundreds over professional accountant
What's not so great: Don't like paying taxes...not your fault!

My 2013 Tax year experience

I've been using Turbo tax for many years and am impressed with the consistency and continuous improvement that's made to the product and the process year after year. It has not disappointed me yet. Excellent work to all of the folks at Intuit.

Simple and quick

TurboTax is a quick, easily understandable way to do your own taxes for both Federal and State returns. Gather your information and in a short time that annual chore is done and behind you and your refund is on it's way.
What's great about it: Turbo tax walks you through each item so that you do not omit any information.
What's not so great: More detailed than needed for a simple tax return.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
