Newly retired; married; disabled.....bride w. extensive individual expenses, properties, etc. Very difficult to establish worth of filing jointly....too much time.
What's great about it: Thorough overview in each section
What's not so great: Should be able to merge Single filing Seperately to a Joint return for review
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

LIke it alot, this is my 16th year with TT. I highly recommend it.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow, covers all the bases, removes most questions or headaches you may have because of uncertain forms.

Tax preparation made tolerable

I don't think TurboTax worked as well this year as it did last year. I will stick with it because I'm old and the agony of change is greater than the agony of guessing and hoping I guessed right. I think TurboTax should devote more effort to the kind of validation and verification processes used by the military in the preparation of technical manuals.
What's great about it: Smooth and easy steps.
What's not so great: TurboTax did not accept the answers printed on my Form CSA 1099R

I have been using turbo tax over 7 years. Always happy with the ease of use. I have recommended this product to many people. I hope they listened. I look forward to using your program again next year.

Got a better refund but.....

So the con is that my wife was looking for our 2012 tax return and when doing so i went ahead and filled out what i could. It asked about my wife's 1098-T from last year and i skipped it thinking i could come back through. well we have not found our 2012 tax return but i went back to see if i could access the question and was not able to find the question it was asking after updateing all forms and the program itself.
What's great about it: Did very well did not make as much as last and my refund was larger then last year.
What's not so great: Could not return to certain questions after doing updates.

Turbo Tax Instructions

Ask every year if TT could have instructions how to access and use the icons and forms and how to use them.
Would cut back on calls to reps. Had to be shown how to use them and answer TT step by step questions.
