Great for 99% of my needs

TurboTax made my tax prep virtually painless.
The fact that it remembers information from previous years is a great help. I donate to the same charities, and get dividends from the same mutual funds, each year to I don't have to re-enter the information.
There was one significant snag. While it covers many special situations, Deluxe does not cover ESPP share sales. It did in the past. I feel like this feature was removed just to force upgrades.
As things happened, my manually-entered ESPP income caused a "hiccup." After checking everything and declaring everything error free, it spotted an error as I was e-filing. I corrected it, and my refund dropped several hundred dollars at last minute.
What's great about it: Generally
What's not so great: Didn't allow me to enter ESPP information
The program does seem to be easier to use than past years. Either that or I am getting better at using it because Turbo Tax is the only tax program I will use. The questions are easy to understand and answer. Furthermore, I have always felt that my information is secure.
What's great about it: The program seems to be easier to navigate through this year.
Helped me get a great return - 28% tax rate at source and 19% tax rate after filing taxes. On the down side, there is absolutely no sync between the desktop software and online account.
What's great about it: Captured all deductions, ability to be flexible
What's not so great: Desktop software doesn't sync at all with online account
This really did make it easy to complete our taxes. You are guided through the process and there are very good explanations at every step that help you to understand what is being asked and what documents you need.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, lots of good explanations and help features
generally good but does require a certain amount of tax knowledge. It did not automatically generate the PA foreign tax credit and it took me 45 minutes to find the forms to enter the data. Then it was not clear they were being filled out correctly. For AMT there is some possible credit that it did not automatically compute (I used Turbo Tax last year) and the forms are very complicated. I had to call a tax accountant to find out if I was going to get a credit. My goal is to put the data into TT and not have to figure these out myself.
What's not so great: did not automatically carry forward foreign income tax to PA state return
