If a tax form is partially completed, saved, and then continued at a later time, it would be helpful to return to the same spot in the process where you left off.

Bad Year

Much more confusing this year. The capital gains section was terrible. None of the information requested by turbo tax matched the forms that I received from financial institutions.. Asking for me to update to a more expensive version of turbo tax was adding insult to injury. Trying to figure out the tax free portion of my government pension was also impossible with turbo tax. I had to go to the IRS and get form 721. I have always been happy with turbo tax before but this year was awful! I will think twice before I buy it next year.

I want my interest and dividend payers in alphabetic order on my return! I want my charitable donations in alphabetic order! I click on the field and Turbo alphabetizes. I enter data and return and Turbo has forgotten the alphabetic order. I have complained about this for years! Please get this fixed.
Too many clicks. Too many work sheets mean too much printing. I select my printing sheets individually to save a tree!
Again, please let me alphabetize and please quit undoing the alphabetic order!
What's great about it: I like the fact that Turbo remembers my return from year to year.
What's not so great: I cannot alphabetize. Turbo keeps resetting.

Overall I was able to feel confident that I did my taxes correctly
What's great about it: Brought forward old information, able to import documents
What's not so great: confusing on investment information, wasn't sure if it was done correctly

sound ok for the Efile but a little bit high price
What's great about it: good for state refund
What's not so great: not easy to check the worksheets
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Had a detail question about Kansas Sales Tax failing to be included after being estimated. Tried to find customer service phone number to explain or help, but couldn't find one. Finally gave up and let the return ride without the sales tax deduction.
What's great about it: Clear detail
What's not so great: Lack of access to phone question

Turbo tax is awesome, not quite perfect

Didn't find 0.00 entry rather than blank on a w-2 till filing. Instructions to get to SEP tricky.
What's great about it: Walked me through everything, checked for most errors
What's not so great: Only very minor items
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
