I have used TurboTax for years and will continue to do so until I no longer need to file
What's great about it: It is so easy you don't need to know anything about taxes.

The proceedures are similar year to year and the needed carrover info is brought in directly. Nice to file both Federal and State. Also easy proceedure to e-file.
What's great about it: Very systematic & thorough
What's not so great: Many items reviewed that would have been zero anyway.

Tax Prep Fun, Easy!

I use the tax program up one level from basic, the deluxe. My wife and I are retired with social security, just a limited retirement pension income, farm rental, and a little farm crop income. It would be nice when using TurboTax from year to year, to have the program to look and compare from year to year and then only use the basic repeated input dollar values gathered over the years. Otherwise this is one awesome tax prep program. Thanks much. I went to this program when my tax professional let it slip that he was also using it to do my taxes, and I thought, that for over 30 years, I had been fixing all sorts of computers, and why not do this myself. And the rest is history. If you can keep records, and read and follow directions, taxes preparation with TurboTax is very easy! Thanks again.
What's great about it: Very comprehensive, detailed, completes and reminds what one needs to file
What's not so great: goes side-tracking when using from year to year with same basic income for retirees

Very good except for major impact caused by update

I worked on entering data over two days. On the second day I was done entering all Fed and State data and was heading into the wireless transmit entries and almost done (in fact I thought that I had submitted them (evidently not). Hadn't done a new save, but saw a notice that TurboTax Product needed to be updated. I had a save done when I left off working on the Fed data the day before, but did not do another save before processing the TurboTax update. I lost all my day 2 updates,
Lucky for me that I had done a PDF save of the files done before this happened - but I had to go back and add all the entries again that I had made that second day. Updates should include a warning that a save should be done first. I lost a lot of hours of my time. Not a happy camper!!!

What's great about it: I liked the way it goes about making sure data can be entered

Eliminate Schedule K On Tax Return

I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years, and it seems to be easier to do each year. If things go as planned, our lifestyle will change completely in 2015. I hope that your program can make the changes with little or no problem
What's great about it: Your tax program is very easy to understand to do even for an old guy
What's not so great: We have not had a Schedule K for years and years. How do you take it off your program?

Easy to use

Very good format and easy to use.
What's great about it: Transfer of data, especially stock transactions, very hlpful
What's not so great: Confusion as to IMPORT at starrt vs. import of financials later on.

Easy for an Old Guy

Simple format. I am not particularly computer savvy, so the easy instructions and explanations allowed me to finish quickly, even though I was somewhat distracted by March Madness on the TV.
