This is my fourth year using Turbo Tax. Besides saving a lot money on a tax preparer when I did all the gathering and listing of information anyway, I like the feeling of being in control. I am discouraged that I did not trust Turbo Tax when I had a business. Just seemed to easy and now wish I would have. Many thanks, Annamae
What's great about it: Working at my own pace and previous year prompts.
What's not so great: Nothing
Pros: I bought or sold investments

im a comp idiot but this makes it easy what really made it for me this year was needing my 2012 paperwork after losing it on my comp and losing my printed copy I was able to retrieve it from u the only way I would ever do taxs any other way I would have to be on the other side of the ground

What's great about it: Just follow the instruction and it will be done
What's not so great: To much items to be filled
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Using Tubotax 2013

I would usually recommend Turbo to any one, as I have been using it for at least ten years. However, this year it gave me a lot of trouble with data entry. It did not transfer my federal or state estimated tax payments to the 1040 the first time around. Made me check every entry at least three times, which never happened to me before.
What's great about it: Clear questions.
What's not so great: Had to re-enter much of my data because it didn't transfer from the worksheets to the form. Made me very nevous!

Turbo Tax Deluxe 2013 w/state

Best Turbo Tax yet. The ease of entering information was better that any year that I've used (since 2009).
In the past information from life insurance policies.... what is taxable, what is not... has been difficult to determine. Now you forms fit and agree with State Farm and with Northwest Mutual.
I am a convinced user! The NC retirement system details were fully covered... NC 529 plan as well as NC 457 and Bailey designations.... Good job!

What's great about it: Concise, clear questions and instructions
What's not so great: I would like to capture some individual screens, ie, list of contributions made and the addresses.

Taxes were easy to file

Right off the bat after the first W2 is entered its time dance, because look at your refund. He haw!
All in all it did what I paid for it to do, electronically file my taxes. It does come with a cost of not only the package but all the add-on's including state plus filing state.
I did not need the extras but if I did it would have been cheaper to go to a tax preparer.
What's great about it: Pulled in last years information
What's not so great: Too much flashy "Look what we did for you"
