This was my first time using Turbo Tax. It was easy to use and follow. When I did have a question, Mark, in you help department took me thru a step by stop procedure to correct my problem.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Great help when necessary
Easy to use (I use the step by step even though I have been preparing taxes for years). The Wisconsin return is much improved, as it asks questions about paying health care insurance etc. Something a novice might not know about
What's great about it: Easy to use and accurate
What's not so great: Too bad there isn't a free state E File
I like that the program just asks you questions and it fills everything in on the right line. I have always done my own taxes and when i had to write it all out myself i had a mess of papers all over. With Turbo Tax i just have to have the information available and answer the questions. If i have a question, it is very easy to ask it on Turbo Tax rather than having to call the IRS and wait on hold to get a question answered. When i did it on paper, i would always get it filled out and then wait a few days just in case i forgot something before i mailed it. Turbo Tax does the remembering for me.
What's great about it: Easy to use and understand. Easy to ask a question. Easy to read
What's not so great: Wish income tax was not so complicated. Not Turbo Taxes fault
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
overall it was great if you do not have a lot of deductions. I ran into a problem when it came down to claiming my milage for work. I totaled my car last year in the middle of the year and had to get a new one. it kept taking me to "traded in" vehicle, which I didn't. so therefore I had to delete the first car and lost potential credit for those miles.
What's great about it: it walks you through mostly everything
What's not so great: If does not help with walking through if you total your car you were using as a milage expense.
