I have always wondered why there is not a button to click when get done the first time, so you can go back from the beginning and check the return. To me just would make it a little easier. One other thing you sure make it hard to send a review, how many people are going to have my e-mail address with the same nickname

What's great about it: each year it gets better and easier to use
What's not so great: Navigation information from last year's return. asking same information in home office as home section
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years and the approach of the software is consistent every year. Having the ability to work through the process, responding to questions, AND do your own thing is good. I follow the questioning road first and go back on my own. I like the analysis at the end and look forward to the Medical info/modifications next year. Detailed information on Required Minimum Distribution would be good for this 70.5+ year olds in the future. Thanks for keeping your software current, as the tax laws are complex even for the average taxpayer.
What's great about it: Very simple to use, gives the personal filer confidence
What's not so great: Finshing segment still a little complicated!
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Good Product, State return could be more helpful

Software does a great job with the Federal return. Could use some improvement with state returns. I filed state returns at two states. Why can’t the program pick out all the information needed from the W-2s and place it into the two state returns? One state asked for specific codes for some retirement income. The program did not know the codes and I had to hunt for them.

Filing Taxes Are Easy With Turbo Tax

Taxes are quite easy with this product. Just make sure you keep all receipts, records, and anything to do with taxes.
What's great about it: Quite easy to understand. Very thorough.

Sturdy, reliable

I have used Turbotax, and MacinTax before it, for decades. It gets better over time and is easier to use each year as a result of familiarity.
I print out only the forms I want, rather than a whole slew including ones I don't need to have in my files. This one-at-a-time printing is a bit tedious. It would be nice to have a way to have all the forms listed and check off the ones I want to have printed.

What's great about it: Consistent from year to year
What's not so great: Extra fee for state filing. Weak help information on some items

Fairly smooth sailing with just a couple of bumps

I will continue to use Turbo Tax for our returns.
What's great about it: I like how info from last year's Turbo Tax return was used on this year's return. Made the process much easier.
What's not so great: Need to show that Federal Pensions include Military pensions - somewhat confusing.
