do not like the fact they only give you 5 federal forms since you have to pay for state and federal are free makes no sense that you should not get as many federal you want only thing i can tell just a way to make more money when you've already paid for program.
What's great about it: explains pretty good
What's not so great: lot of having to do selection twice before it works
Look up tables for material contributions are great. Leading one through the process and catching possible entry errors is great. Submitting both at one time is great. Determining if both forms were successfully submitted, not so great.
What's great about it: Leads throught the process. Can complete both state and Fed at one time.
What's not so great: How to tell when you have successfully submitted a return.
After checking options like "yes or no", "check which applies to you", etc. when reviewing my inputs some of the checked options are blank and need to be checked again., Why is this? It seems the program doesn't retain this information.
I was disappointed that my last year's return, which was saved by the program as a PDF file could not be imported for use by this year's return process.
Why save it as a PDF if you cannot export it to the next year's preparation.
What's great about it: Very easy to use. Great help.
What's not so great: Last year's return was saved by the program, but couldn't be recovered
When I attempted to enter medical data it appeared that I could just enter the total in the box provided. I was not allowed to do so and I had to call support. We jointly solved the issue. Due to the fact that I listed my doctors in the previous year, I had to double click on the total box to get the supplemental box to itemize my doctors by name again. This was easy to do but there was no instruction saying to double click the total box if you had listed your doctors in the previous year. The IRS does not require that they be listed individually but only a total amount to be submitted. Should be more explanatory on steps to follow in Turbo Tax.
