Simple and Easy

I have been using TurboTax since the product has been available. It has never failed me and has always been complete and thorough. I haven't always gotten a refund but in most cases I feel that TurboTax kept my tax responsibility to a minimum. Every year the process seems more refined and helpful and I am confident that TurboTax is in my corner working for my benefit. Keep up the good work.
What's great about it: Clear instructions, plenty of help
What's not so great: None

Simple with a catch

I itemized my State tax and Schedule A (Form 1040) was attached. Pursuant to Item 17, Gifts to Charity, Schedule A(Form 1040) it directs... "You must attach Form 8283 if over $500" while clearly showing that my deduction was $610.
No Form 8283 printed out nor was there any other reference to this.
This appeared to be a Turbo Tax programming error.
What's great about it: It was structured well, and comprehensive and quick
What's not so great: Program error

What's great about it: easy to use and gets the best return amount
What's not so great: forgotten passwords and securityquestion are difficult to rest

TurboTax failed to recognize that Oregon does not tax my federal pension. Had to enter manually.

I was disappointed

I am very happy to have Turbo Tax and trust calculations and cautions that avoid unnecessary challenges to the return. Did not see explanation of why quarterly estimates were prepared of if I really had to file them or if it was optional. Had to do some research on this. On one 1099R an income figure was given that appeared no where else and required a lot of extra work to assure accuracy. It needed to be changed. Issues were minor compared to the old way of doing this. Very happy with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Prevents understanding of some processes

I chose to send my tax form electronically was unable to do so. My experience with Turbo was terrible and I have PhD!!
What's not so great: I did not like anything and would never buy Turbo tax again!!

I have used Turbo Tax for years, and each year it is better and easier to use.
What's great about it: Very user-friendly. Anybody can accomplish their taxes!

Wouldn't Efile!

Wouldn't let me Efile. Kept saying an Update was needed but when I did Update there wasn't any new ones available.
Said if problem persisted to file by mail.
Went to TurboTax Help and saw someone had posted this problem/question 23 days before.
But, it hadn't been answered. Very poor service on what I consider a major feature.
Not sure if I'll buy it next year.
