Excellent tool

I have a fairly uncomplicated tax situation at present, but I have used TurboTax for years in which my taxes were more complicated. In both cases, I was able to complete my returns with relative ease and when I had questions, I was able to get help quickly and effectively. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TurboTax!
What's great about it: Easy to follow (Step-by-Step). Transfer of prior year info a HUGE timesaver.

Good But some confusion

We had the problem of not receiving all the tax documents from my wife's employers, however since it was a independent contracting job, we had the income (no taxes taken out), it was hard to figure out how to file this in Turbo Tax because it asked for a EIN, or Payers SS#, which wasn't clear, without talking to the IRS what way to do it.
Other than that hiccup it was easy to use, and this is the second year in a row we've used Turbo Tax to do our taxes, and we will most likely continue to do so in the future unless out taxes get to be more complex in the future.
What's great about it: Easy step-by-step guides for most things, good help files for most things.
What's not so great: Some information not clear, or missing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I recommend it. Have done it 8 years running. Easy to use, and thorough.
What's great about it: Walks through step by step. Never feel missing something.
What's not so great: Wish it could help a bit more with new Business GE tax

Taxes Hurt

For the most part it was easy to use, and I've used Turbotax for many years without any serious problems. But sometimes it complains if it wants a 0 and I leave a blank or vice versa.
And sometimes things that were straightforward before become a problem, i.e. my federal retirement taxable income. TT complained I had put down 0 % taxable, which I hadn't. It turned out it had computed it for me, but made me feel it had entered 0 until I checked.

What's great about it: seems accurate, not too difficult to use

OMG i'm done

Turbo Tax is easy to understand and use. It makes tax preparation quick and easy. Don't have to worry if i get the math correct which i had to check and re-check when i did my returns by hand.
What's great about it: The questions that help guide you though the process.
What's not so great: Don't like the ads at the end.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

rejected e-file

The e-file was rejected and it said the number 0n the w2 was wrong. It was the same number it has been the past 20 years,
So I have been instructed to mail in the forms.
