Still Loyal through several years

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. Each year, it seems to get easier to use. The flow from one area to the next is excellent. The more information buttons are helpful. However, when I wanted to ask a question, it seemed to only offer help from the "community". I don't think I trust just anyone offering advice. It was difficult to separate the "experts" from the others. Never did get an answer to the question.
What's great about it: I especially like having information entered from last year
What's not so great: Seems like there are more "upgrades" that cost money to get support.

What's not so great: not always go back to the place where I left off, Hard to find the place to include a charitible deduction on property

This is a great product. I have been using Turbo tax for almost 15 years.
What's great about it: Easy to use!
What's not so great: Would like more explanation for state taxes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Lots of problems

Very disappointed in TurboTax this year. Most times when I tried to save my return I was told an older version existed and did I want to replace it--rather than simply saving my on-going return. I also had to make several attempts at e-filing. Have not had these problems in the previous 10+ years I have used TurboTax. Will rethink using again next tax season.

Confident about my taxes

I have used TurboTax for over 30 years. I'm comfortable with it and feel confident in final result. In recent years I find data entry is fine but making changes can be difficult. For example if I need to change one small entry in a business expense I have to again answer several questions that have nothing to do with what I want to change. Also, I'm not confident a change will be carried through thoroughly so I must make a printout and look it through closely. Sometimes a backup sheet will still have the old info. But all things considered I would not hesitate to use TurboTax again.
What's great about it: I like step by step while also being able to move at my choice. Also like switching to see forms and back.
What's not so great: Making changes can be an issue since changes are not always carried through in all locations and require checking.

I had storm damage on my house but your program was unable to accommodate this entry. This could have gotten me to itemized situation and cost me money because I had to take the standard deduction.
Very frustrating.
I tried to fake it in but it wouldn't take the deduction.

Stop trying to sell me the state tax. We have no state income tax here! Do some research.
What's not so great: Impossible to understand casualty losses section.

Turbo Tax and Community Support Tax Info Great!

I always actually enjoy a lot of my interaction with Turbo Tax even though taxes are not inherently a fun activity. I sometimes do taxes for an elderly friend as well because it was so much easier for her than doing it by hand or even on a computer since she can't see well. I've recently talked a stock advisor into looking at TurboTax again as he first tried it many years ago before it reached the levels at which it is today.
What's great about it: Fun and informative; easy to work on a bit at a time
What's not so great: K1 entry in Deluxe could allow reference to 1099-B
Pros: I bought or sold investments

2013 Turbo Tax

I liked the interface this year better than the past years. I think the questions were orientated to the user more. I have used Turbo Tax every year for several years and it has continually improved.
The only problem this year was the program failed to automatically update upon install and I had to do it manually. Not a big deal, just inconvenient.
