Simplified and streamlined to reduce suffering

Turbo tax helps make a complicated endeavor manageable. The step by step guidance and helpful explanations give me confidence that the forms are filled out right. Anyone can handle their own taxes with turbo tax leading the way!
What's great about it: The software led me along and provided explanations if I clicked on them.
What's not so great: Fees, additional fees and more fees. Why can't the whole process be charged up front?

Done Fast

It is great knowing I only have to spend a short amount of time doing my taxes and not having to bear through the drudgery of second guessing myself.
What's great about it: love the walk through, makes taxes less complicated
What's not so great: some explanations could be better explained

Keep up the great work. TurboTax makes filing palatable.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: No links to IRS info
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

2013 Fed Tax Filing

On this 1099R I had to revisit it and put in the Taxable Amount to force it to include distribution as Income. Prior years TurboTax filings automatically handled this.
What's great about it: Stores past data, makes easier filing for current year
What's not so great: 1099R did not update as Income when it did in the past

A little troublesome for retirees

Been using tubo tax for a few years and have been ok with it. Now that my spouse and i are both retired i found i had to return to the 1099-R section to add in her income. This was bit confusing and made me doubt the strength of this program to effectively complete my taxes. My other issue is paying to file a state return even though I paid no state taxes and (of course) had none due. Maybe next year I will fill it out manually.
What's great about it: easy step by step instructions
What's not so great: had to go back too much for spouses income

Simplicity!

It was so easy. I was able to punch everything in on my own and Turbo Tax walks you through the whole way. I did have some problems when I put some wrong information and I was rejected but Turbo Tax was able to help me and withing 15 minutes I was able to correct the error and file my taxes correctly. I highly recommend Turbo Tax to anyone who wants to be able to do taxes on their own.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions
What's not so great: Going through you might be rejected
