In deciding to modify my entry data I find it tedious and difficult to get to the work sheet I need to modify. I also find that "following the path" -- certain yes/no answers had to be re-entered. I would suggest a jump button that would allow me to go "directly" to the area involved, instead of going to the start of a section.
One of the easiest and best tax preparation programs available. I do four very different returns with it and it really lets me enter all the necessary information and be sure I haven't missed anything. The free Federal e*file is a blessing and saves money on postage, too. I've used this program for years and wouldn't use anything else.
What's great about it: Asks all the right questions
What's not so great: charitable items I add to Its Deductable don't add for next time
Great overall program that thoroughly does my taxes year after year. Keep up the good work. Great program for not a whole lot of cost. Better than laying out a few hundred bucks to someone else to figure the taxes and waste extra time I would have spent figuring with Turbo Tax. So, it's Turbo Tax and done for me.
What's great about it: Quick and professional, accurate calculations and I get my best refund available.
What's not so great: Hangs up a little bit on certain screens. A little bit herky jerky.
Ladies and gentlemen to whom it may concern, I understand not printing form 8453 until I file the taxes, but once I acknowledge a need for a release/revocation of custodial parent (form 8332) to claim a child or release a child, then it should be presented at that time and let me designate whom I need to claim/release – definitely not after I file. I need this document signed prior to filing, unless I’m willing to accept the risk of, her/him changing their mind/ agreement/ promise. I had to search on the internet on how to find that form in your program so I could get it signed before I felt comfortable filing. Work with us, help us/ make it easier!!! Other than that it’s a great program that I have been using for 5 years.
The cost to file the State return should be on the outside of the box , not buried at the end of the program AND the program "FROZE" twice in the whole process: one time after the update was downloaded and the other while it was trying to retrieve my completed return, after the update. Other than that, I probably wouldn't use anything else. This was the first time in years the program had a glitch.
What's great about it: carry-over from 1 year to the next
What's not so great: update at end of process and state fees
