Slam Jam the Tax Man

What's great about it: online checks
What's not so great: price too high for federal, then stat, then state file.....
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I highly recommend Turbo Tax for anyone who does a simple easy filing it is great to work with.
What's great about it: The whole program makes filing taxes so easy
What's not so great: Tracking of refunds get information on Federal ok but state is not so great

Great tool for completing tax forms. Walks user through processes step-by-step. Suggests items for review or entry. Helps maximize deductions. Takes some time to complete the processes, but well worth it.

Turbo Tax for 17th Year

I've used Turbo Tax since 1996 with only positive experiences. Tax Returns are never a fun project but Turbo Tax makes the process understandable and a relatively easy Saturday project. For the past several years I've used the Deluxe Version which walks me through the Itemized Decutions, Step by Step, in more detail than the Basic Version.
What's great about it: Easy to understand, user friendly; near automatic load of previous year required data; audit support team
What's not so great: State e_file fee
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo Done

As I noted in the con’s, I bought a copy that had a bad disk, it only had the Mac version on it. Well, I called the technical support number and the tech was very helpful. I received a download right then and there and she stayed on the phone until the download was complete and I installed it. This took at least 15 minutes, turned a negative start into a very positive experience.
After that it was all downhill, I did two returns, one just a 1040EZ type, it was simple and quick to do. I like the printed copies and the pay voucher was included. The only thing missing was a self-addressed envelope and a stamp.
The second return had school expense credits and related costs. More to enter, but worth the effort. I believe it saved over $2,000 if I had done it the old booklet way.
Overall it was great experience. Now keep in mind I HATE doing taxes, but I know I’ll use TurboTax next year.

I'm a long-time user of Turbo Tax. I don't like paperwork and doing anything that requires a lot of searching. Turbo Tax works great for me. Somehow, Turbo Tax keeps getting better.
What's great about it: user friendly and quick
