Simplified My Life

Have been using for 10 years plus, the fill in from previous year saves a lot of time. First year I used downloading for W-2's and that worked great. Always itemize and it leads you through all the possibilities. Its just a simple quick way to do taxes including the e-filing.
What's great about it: Asked the right quistions & 5 year comparison great
What's not so great: Not aware of anything

Same old Complaints

Once again, I like to print out my record copy and look it over as a whole before I print out for mailing. The Program has to be horsed around to do that.
Also some items in the State return are not expressed as clearly as they could be. Loss Carry over is not particularly easy.
I have use Turbo Tax for more than 10 years. I have been retired that long and it still makes me go through W-2 type questions and does not make clear my old age exemptions

What's great about it: Does great number crunching
What's not so great: Some parts still difficult to understand

I have used turbo tax for several years to file my taxes. it is simple to use. The import feature is awesome. And the transferring of data from year to year is awesome also....as long as your computer dont crash.

For two years in a row now TurboTax has been making it difficult to deal with educational expenses for college. This year it did not ask me if my daughter was a student and it did not automatically check that box. The context of entering Educational information did not trigger this. The program wasted a significant amount of my time here. In addition, it kept flagging that more work was needed in the sale of stocks area but after downloading all of the information from my one and only brokerage (fidelity), it should have had what it needed or at least been able to explain to me what it was looking for. I think the program is not as sharp as it used to be. More logic is needed.
What's great about it: Nice Interface
What's not so great: Help is not the best and items are missed

Did Taxes While Having A Glass Of Fine Wine

This is easily my 7th or 8th year filing using Turbo Tax. It is easy to use, reduces my stress level and always catches anything I may have missed. I really appreciate the thought that went into making this so easy to use. Thank you!
What's great about it: Easy and intuitive. Guides through all areas effortlessly. The comparison to previous year filing is excellent.
What's not so great: None that I can see...well done!

I have used Turbo Tax for almost 20 years. I also use the program to file taxes for my grand-daughter and my sister-in-law.
This was the first year I didn't use a Schedule C for business taxes, as I have retired and no longer do any business.
What's great about it: Easy. the program walks you through the process.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
