Easy Tax Filing with TurboTax--As usual!

As usual I just zipped through my tax preparation. TurboTax makes it so easy and straightforward. I have been using TurboTax since it was founded years ago as MacInTax, version 1.0. Prior to then I had developed my own VisiCalc and later Excel spreadsheet tax calculation models. TurboTax is so much easier with the Q&A format that leads one through the preparation for filing. The only work involved is preparing and maintaining my receipt and records files throughout the year. With this done,tax filing is a one or two evening process with guaranteed accuracy.
What's great about it: Easy to enter the information and data.
What's not so great: None

Easy additions and changes

I gotta admit, we used an accountant for many years. This is easier, faster, and much more convenient. I can get in and out easily, it asks questions which remind me of things I need to add or look up. And, immediate filing is a treat!
I really like the fact that prior year's returns are used to fill in the info which has not changed, and by looking at last year, I remember to include things this year.
What's great about it: Easy to hop in and add or change something
What's not so great: Charitable donations needs a button at the top to add more items
Pros: I bought or sold investments

What's great about it: EASY TO UNDERSTAND
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax - the only way to go

I've been a TT Deluxe user for the past fifteen years or so and gladly come back to it every year. I have a fairly typical financial posture - wages, annuities, part time business, own a home, etc. Turbo gives me what I need without a bunch of confusing "accounting babble" to wade through. The knowledge that the arithmetic is guaranteed is a boon. The scrupulous review process is a mind easer. I recommend Turbo Tax to friends and family alike. In fact just yesterday I helped an older friend complete his tax return while on the phone - 1700 miles away.
What's great about it: Easy navigation, good explanations

Good Job Folks

I lost my spouse this year and thought it would be a nightmare to file, but Turbotax was right on top of it and it was not what I expected. it turned out to be extremely easy and comforting.
What's great about it: This year's programming seemed much easier and more complete. Extremely easy.
What's not so great: Because of starting the process earlier, some forms were not available. So had to wait.

Easy to use tax software for simple returns. Like the step by step guidance. Would use it again.
What's great about it: ease to use, don't need any tax knowledge, free e-file

So-so Experience

Did not like that the program did not check for upgrades when it first came up. It did this in prior years, please change it back!
I didn't like that I had to go in and manually change the amount for the IRA rollover to be zero in the income column of the 1040 form.
What's great about it: Nicely fills out the forms and reviews work for accuracy
What's not so great: The 401K rollover section was flawed, it kept on putting my husband's rollover amount in income. ITS NOT INCOME.
