Always a Good Experience

I have been using TurboTax for at least seven years now. I like how it brings in all your info from the previous year, saving a lot of data entry. I also like how it guides you through the process "turning over every stone" looking for opportunities to save you money. The process is easy, but does take some time due to the thoroughness of the questions. I like doing my own taxes and having control over the information.

Its cheap and accurate. I will soon be working in Panama and will use turbotax to do foreign earned income. Hope it works out.

As I am getting older it would be nice if there would be a planning section where you could run a mock return with projected income or an information tab on how different situation would affect taxes (i.e one spouse retired and other still working and how to fiqure taxes for this situation)

Great way to do taxes!

Really love using Turbo Tax. It allows me to understand what I'm doing through the step by step screens. Filing electronically is also helpful so no need to print and mail.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Until the End

Most of the process is good. Entering everything is fine, and straightforward with minimal problems or misunderstandings. The definitions for things are also clear and help to put things where they need to go. They also help answer a question correctly. However, there were added fees that were not there before, and obviously are never mentioned. By the time you're finished you might as well have done it with a tax professional and not wasted money on the program.
