The stock sale data was a bit tedious but not turbotax's fauld. Sometimes the info and instructions (irs) are confusing. Good news is that TT kept checking and advising problems and errors.
I loved the turbo tax experience. This is my 10th year using it and each year it gets better. The navigation tools are excellent and the breakdown walks the user through each step. It is easy to go back to a section if you forgot or need to amend something. I have never had an issue with the software and would recommend it to anyone. If you can follow directions you can file with TurboTax.
It was easy to do my taxes, a little more challenging with my daughter's educational expenses, but I made my way through it. It was so much cheaper than going to a tax office.
I have several different things this year that caused me some trouble otherwise everything appeared to go just fine. I have trouble finding how to enter 1099s info for timber sale. Entering fractional sale of stock after a buy out by another company was new for me and caused me some problems.
I was extremely pleased with the phone help that I got when I had problems with e-file.
Wish there were not so many updates. Makes you wonder if everything is in order when you file.
Turbo Tax program for 2012 was much easier to use. The reference list to go back and edit information was easier to find and use. Questions regarding out of state employment was very confusing. I.E. You need to have a start date when you left California, and a date you returned. The way it was layed out did'nt make sense.
Fast and efficient as always. Having refinanced in 2013 created some challenges and I had a little difficulty entering the interest paid for my second mortgage, but I figured it out. Showing the amount due or the refund for the Federal and state at the top is great. So is e-filing to get the refund back into my checking account. It's done now I'm gone to do other things!
