once again I used turbo tax , slow, difficult to navigate, I have used your product for my years I have been very satisfied in the past, this years turbo tax is a disaster will not purchase your product next year

We had a very complicated year in 2013, but with all the questions 'Easy Step' asks, I was confident we covered everything correctly. It is really helpful when TurboTax carries forward all the pertinent numbers until they aren't needed any more. Nothing "falls through the cracks" or is forgotten when one has been using this software for a long time! (e.g., credit for Alternative Minimum Tax paid, capital loss carryover, etc.)
In 2010 I finally convinced my 91-year-old father who had been doing his own taxes by hand for over 70 years (!) to let me do them using TurboTax. The first year was a bear putting in all his data, but he had kept such excellent records (re: depreciation, etc. - he had run his own business since 1939, and they rent out part of their house to help cover real estate taxes), now it is easy for me to do each year...he is now 95!

What's great about it: I like being able to switch between 'Easy Step' and the actual forms, and I like the topic list.
What's not so great: Wish the program wouldn't print out all the cover pages and payment vouchers when saving a hard copy for our records.

Very unhappy

I was very disappointed to find out that after I e-filed that the IRS never received it, now I am probably going to get a penalty against me because of it.
What's great about it: I liked how easy it was to do my taxes
What's not so great: I e-filed but IRS says they never received it

Why did I pay to prepare my State Return

Last year I did not pay this additional fees. I feel I was charged twice

Wish it was more clear when buying state weather I had to pay more when filing for state.

What's not so great: even though I bought the state edition they charge more for state

The worst problem I had with your program was accessing prior years of turboTax programs, it didn't. I had 7 or 8 years of programs and it didn't recognize any of them I had to enter all required information manually. I don't know how or why the failure came in but is very discouraging
What's great about it: Easy filing
What's not so great: The opening of the program, having to choose the same stuff over and over

Steps were so simple even a beginner can do taxes

I have had a lot of people buy turbo tax because I told them they can do their own taxes way less, not to be worried it is step by step, now a lot of my friends are doing their own.
What's great about it: step by step
What's not so great: just a lot of input, but for best output
Pros: I had a baby

LA state tax forms

My printed forms have "DO NOT FILE FORM NOT FINAL" all over them, with no instructions to get rid of this!
