A superb investment

I have been using Turbotax for several years now. This year (2013) was by far the easiest to use. All the complications and frustrating details had been smoothed out and I did my taxes with little to no effort. I really enjoy this product and plan to purchase it again next year.

Excellent Product! My ~18th Tax Submission W/TT

I've been using TurboTax and Quicken since it was originally called "Parson Tax Software" back in the early 90's, over 20 years ago. Every year it is super easy and effective to do everything that I need. I expect to use this software for another 20 years.

I am very satisfied with product and how quick and easy it is to file and how affordable. I don't like paying a lot like if I went to the competition.

Sequential steps, questions for extra savings, double checks everything, suggests ways to save on taxes, suggests
the most that can be saved by standard deduction vs itemized,
if errors points them out and removes when corrections are made, if further information is needed it refers you to several information references, free federal e-file, save pdf file to computer for next year's return.

The great advantage of TurboTax is, of course, that it handles tax returns relatively painlessly. I would need a spreadsheet to do it otherwise.
The down side? Be prepared for a lot of grief when e-filing. Or even regular filing. IT WON'T LET ME SEE THE TAX FORMS until I've decided whether to pay for audit defense and e-filing. This is abominable. LET ME SEE THE RETURN. Then I can decide whether I'm ready to e-file, whether I need audit defense, etc.
Don't charge my credit card until I've seen the return. It's that simple!
What's great about it: Hey, it gets my taxes done
What's not so great: The billing process is abominable. They charge my credit card before I've ever seen a copy of the return.
