Charged Twice

Deluxe said 1 free state taxes was included and the Turbo Tax still charged my credit card for the state taxes preparation !!!!!! 2nd year in a row this has happen

There's too many "sign and" and accept pages at the end. Please use ONE. I hate having to enter the same info over and over. It's unnecessary.
What's great about it: Easy to enter all those numbers
What's not so great: You don't get to select the state return you want for free, and then it charges you an arm and a leg to get another stat
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Worse edition than prior years

I'll seriously consider NOT using Turbo Tax next year. I have never felt more uncomfortable about the forms I sent in. Please bring the SAVE button back.
Create a new navigation bar.
Make it easier for viewer to see figures posted on actual forms. I had to input data that was never used.

What's not so great: Hard to navigate, have to go through process for all of unit rather than being able to navigate to the desired page. W

Ok, still missing useful features

For most users TT does what you want it to do. The on-line filing options are very handy.
TT's interview covers just about everything, but many situations throw you into an IRS document, requiring you to do that particular worksheet by hand. It would be swell if more of those worksheets were handled in TT (eg. mortgage deduction limitations, IRA deductions). TurboTax should be picking up a few more of these each year. Minus one star.
What's great about it: Easy to use, good import features
What's not so great: lacks many worksheets

What's not so great: Not enough info on capital gains. Basic should cover this

I generally like turbo tax but I experienced some issues this time that shouldn't occur on a tax site.
Granted, I did an extension and then forgot about the October 15th deadline, so my experience was not with the onsite turbotax. Still, these were my issues:
On the deduction for tax filing expenses, not only did turbotax not retrieve my record from the previous year, but no where in the order details does it say what i spent last year for tax software. I really don't know what the point of having order history details is if there are no details. It should not be hard to find what i paid for taxes on a tax software site!
Also, having to download the package for the now expired time, the website was confusing, could I only buy deluxe for the download and not basic? If not I couldn't find the answer on your site. Additionally, after finally finding where to download the software, i first downloaded onto my older laptop, which said the OS was not supported when i tried to launch it.
Granted also I know I'm in the wrong here, but it would be nice to have more help and information on late penalties since i didn't expect to owe taxes and so now they're overdue.
This is been very disappointing from a site that prides itself on making taxes easy.

good for refunds

What's great about it: got me and my wife refunds
What's not so great: I don't like the captions orf the buttons displayed as reversed-out white against blue. Very poor legibility.

Software is good - website lacks

I got caught behind and filing late. I had could not use online products. But trying to find and purchase download products was ridiculously difficult and I nearly quit mid stream to find a competitors product even though I have used nothing else but turbo tax for the last 15+ years.
Fix it.
What's great about it: The product is good.
What's not so great: Very difficult and frustrating to buy non-online products from past years
